How do I get a job?
I have a bachelors degree and I am in the IL Army National Guard. I apply everyplace. I fill out applications. Email my resume, snail mail my resume, drop it off in person, call places, ECT. What is wrong with me?

Nothing. I recently was looking for employment and applied online through Monster.com. I received quite a few phone calls and emails and a couple of interviews. But when it came right down to it I got a job from a freind who referred me to someone that was looking. I think alot of companies hire people either they know or were referred by someone they know.

The top of your resume should say what kind of job you are looking for or it gets thrown away. Yours does not say what you are looking for, so that’s what’s been happening. If you are looking for a teaching job, go online to the public schools websites and apply online. You can also apply for substitute teaching jobs with a number of local school systems while you are looking. There is also a website for private schools. http://careers.nais.org/search.cfm
As you are an EMT, you could also apply for a job as a fireman.
