Are the listing on Yahoo HotJobs safe?
I just want to be safe in doing this, I posted my resume on there, gave it to 2 companies, the other I don’t think has replied, but the second one has, it was a part time bartender job, they gave me a number to call them back, it was a 1-877 number.
would you think it was safe or a scam, should I call them or what?

I believe them to be safe but you know how the scammers are. They will always try to get around any safeguard that is put into place. OR, maybe this is something new that Yahoo has initiated to protect themselves from complaints.
Does the business you applied for have a listed phone number? Is it at a physical address that you are familiar with? Look in the yellow pages and call their listed number and ask them if they have a posting on Hotjobs. Explain to them that you are just trying to protect yourself. They’ll understand.
