will a personal trainer help me to achieve and guide me to what i want?

Well i do work out a bit in taekwondo (2 days a week for 1 hour each day) and i am getting a bit chunky even tho im am doing taekwondo. And i am thinking to get a big of muscle mass on and set goals to what body parts i want to get bigger and whatnot like bigger arms and chest. I have so many questions about diet and training that i would probably flood the forum asking, so i was wondering if a personal trainer form a gym will guide me in the right way to get what i want or as close as i want. Thanks
