what needs to be included in a cover letter on a resume?
also, is an objective required on the front of the resume? what does it need to contain? also, how detailed should i be with work history?
in other words, does anyone know of any good websites where i can see sample resumes for free?
Check out your local Public Library – they have LOTS of great books on this subject. Sometimes they also have free seminars.
No, an objective is no longer required on the Resume – that is a dated concept.

Just google ‘sample cover letter’ or ‘sample resumes’. For more thorough research try http://www.monster.com or http://www.careerbuilder.com. There are many more websites out there but these are the two I use most.
Regarding objective statement, you only need it in the beginning of your career. Once you’ve worked for a while you can take it out. Instead, add ‘Summary of Qualifications’ on the resume outlining your experience and accomplishments.
