Tips for writing a resume?
So this is my first time writing a resume, I’m 16 and I’ve only have one job before (without a resume being required), so I don’t have much experience.
I’m really unsure how to start it. I’ve already got contact details and all that, but do I start it "Dear Sir/Madam"? Then what? Do I introduce myself? Do I say how much I’d like the job..?
This isn’t for any job in particular, fyi. It’s something I’m planning on giving out to different employers.
Some tips and format would be great

Very much appreciated!!
For resumes you don’t start out with "Dear Sir/Madam" because that’s for cover letters.
On the top of the page it’s usually your name, address, phone #, email. the rest can go by:
- Objective (To seek employment in —– )
- Skills/Qualifications
- Work Experience
- Volunteer Experience
- School you’re attending
- Any other accomplishments you feel you should mention… ie. awarded/received special certificates for a sport or activity
Hope this helps. If you have no idea what you want your resume to look like, you can search online for sample resume formats and get some ideas from there. There are lots.
