Do I include my availability in my resume/cover letter?
I’m applying for a part-time job and the hours that they are seeking a worker for are "flexible." I currently am attending school and have a set schedule that I can work in. How should I go about communicating this to my potential employer? Should I include it in my resume or cover letter, or just wait until the interview process?
I would wait to discuss this until the interview process. Since you will be limiting your appeal by limiting them to set hours, and since they didn’t specify a particular schedule, I would only bring it up once they have met you and decided that you are the one that they want. Then they will find ways to make your schedule work. At this point, it can only cut you from consideration.
