1 introduce yourself in a paragraph
2 why are you qualified for the job – discuss specific experience and education that they are asking for – without quoting your resume. May be 2 paragraphs.
3 Ask for the job – tell them you will be in town, and are available for an interview, this needs to be a powerful closeing paragraph
Sign it. Be sure you have it addressed to them, use their words as much as possible. Date it too.
