FREE resume and cover letter builder for MAC?

Im trying to make a cover letter and resume but i have a mac and most of the builders i’ve found arent compatible with mac and its very frustrating. If anyone knows of any that woorrrk, and also free and works with a MAC please help!! I NEED IT ASAP!!

You don’t have to use any special software at all; you could do it in TextEdit if you chose to, then save it as a PDF file and send that out to potential employers. If you have the iWork suite of applications, you could use Pages; if you’re a designer of any sort, you could use QuarkXpress or Adobe InDesign and design it in either of those, then print it to PDF.

Don’t get caught up in resume builders and templates, since most employers don’t really pay attention to those things; they look for keywords and just scan them for something that catches their eye about you, but most of them don’t even do that and just toss it in the trash. The art of acting like a professional and extending common courtesy to everyone seems forever lost the those that are in HR and responsible for hiring.

Microsoft Word and Open Office Writer both have resume templates available for download. Both run on the Mac. Word is paid, OO is free.
