Accountants, Do you love your job?

How many hours and days do you work per week?

Do you get to choose your hours?

How do I know if i will like this job? Will it be hard to even find a job after schools done?

It will depending on the job you done. For a person who are hard working never hate this job

    It varies quite a bit.

Accountants usually work for an audit firm, a corporation, or the government. If you work for an audit firm, you will likely work many hours of overtime. Corporate accountants will probably have some overtime also. Most government jobs don’t require overtime.

Most are from 8:30-5:00, 5 days a week as a base. Some places allow a little flexibility.

If you like numbers, like working with people, like researching regulations, and like the hours, then you might like the job.

Ok there are 2 entirely different types of accountants like the previous person was saying- the public accounting firm/audit is a horrible horrible job where you have "busy season" and work about 70 hours a week from 8am-8pm and some Saturdays. I worked this for one year and said NO WAY.
So now I am an accountant for a private medical company. It is amazing, I make more money and I work 8-5 M-F. I am good with numbers and spreadsheets and finances so I really enjoy it.
You need to start applying for jobs about 3 months before you graduate, employers are very impressed with someone who lines up their future rather than waiting until the last minute.
