how much does schooling cost to become a preschool teacher?

is it worth it thank you for your time

if you’re a resident of california, you can take early childhood education courses for $20/unit plus some extra fees at a community college. in most cases, the minimum number of semester units needed to become a preschool teacher in california is 12. in the end you’ll probably spend 300-350 dollars or so.

it would take about a year for you to take classes and get preschool experience in a class.

i glad i dont live in californai (no offence) $20-$30 a unit! you certainly wont be learning much for that price i can assure you. I suppose it does all deend on where you live but i suggest it would be more than $30 a unit. I live in the UK in Glasgow, and for 1 unit it costs £110. for my whole early education and childcare course which took me a year it cost me £3000, this included all of my diffrent units throughout the year and for my placement as you will need experience in a child care setting. It took me 3 years as i started at the lowest level and worked my way up so it cost like £5000 all in as the £3000 was for my final year, i would go to your local uni or education establishment and ask them for advice on things like how much it would cost-then again you could also move to california and learn it there lol it will be cheaper to do it there by the looks of it!! good luck
