How hard is it to choose a career?
Do many people try different jobs before they find the perfect one? Do you know any people who already knew exactly what they wanted to work as soon as they finished college?
I know a few people whose parents decided that they were going to be whatever and for whatever reasons they followed along and about 40 they rebelled and did what they wanted to do.
Then again I know people who always knew what they wanted to do with their career and are perfectly happy in their chosen field.
I’ve also had friends who stumbled into a career that they wouldn’t have ever thought of doing.
I always loved writing and eventually stumbled into freelance writing even though I have a teaching degree. Helped me design a curriculum for disabled people and self-esteem.
I think you have to know what you like to do and not just do it for the money or the fame but because you’re passionate about it and you’d secretly do it for free but you don’t tell people that.

I’ll let you know when I finally choose a career.

well lets see, 18 years out of High School and I finally know what I want to do when I grow up. Only thing is now I feel like it has passed me by and I may never reach it again. Only thing I can do now is encourage and support my daughter and help her reach her goals.
I was too busy making a living that I forgot to make a life.
