How did YOU choose your career, Help!?

I recently completed a very general degree in Biology and now I’m completely lost as to what career path I should take! How did you decide on your career and did you go straight into it after graduating school/college or were you doing jobs just to pay the rent for some time? Any advice – Thanks so much!
