Im writing a resume… (read details)?

i just plan to hand it in to supermarkets or bakeries within my local area.
and i dont know what to write for my career objective.
i dont want tips on what i should write.
i want examples, of like actual career objectives.
preferably from a resume that has been sucessful.
oh btw im going for my first part time job.

Try to create a general statement. You don’t need to write I am hoping to obtain a BA and pursue a career in so and so…

Better is something along the lines of
I am looking for a position in which I can utilize the skills I have acquired and further expand my work experience.

I am looking for a position in which I can acquire new skills as well as utilizing my experience in such and such

In your case I would do something along the lines of
I am searching a part time position in which I can utilize the skills I have acquired through school and social organization, and further build upon this foundation.

well this is my first job and dont know how to write a resume
i serched it up on google but i dont seem to get how to write em
how many pages do i need?
do i have to write a resume on the first job?
does it have to be well written?
And this job im appying for is for blockbuster….
so if u could write and resume as an example would be great

If you are looking to work part-time in the store, I don’t think you’ll need a resume. I went on their website, clicked through careers at the bottom right of the main screen, looked for openings within several miles of my zip code and found them. It lets you apply online and offers a save feature – so you can complete part of it and come back and finish. One nice thing about this is if you find a question or two you want to think about, you can save your app, come up with a good answer, and then pick up where you left off. If you end up saving before finishing, it tells you the final date they will accept applications for that position. Thought that was great info.

I was wondering what are some achievements that can separate you from the rest. No matter how difficult or outrageous, what can I do to bulk up my resume’. Example; Write a book, bike across the country, internships ( and internships with who like the mayor)

Open Ears to anything that is influential

What you do for those less fortunate than yourself.

Unpaid voluntary work.

Can You help me write a resume; pretty much every job that im applying requires one so i want to make a good one. Im only 17 so i had never done this before since im applying for my first job. its Mostly for clothing stores and stuff so ill appreciate the help:) kk thanks.

Don’t force yourself to write something that you can’t, simply follow your own ideas and be fluent and precise. Keep in mind that you always need to imagine what the reader will have as impression ( put your self on his mind) and try your best to make him find what he wants precisely by avoiding the "useless" information. Finally, know that everything you want is already achieved once your try your best

When a high school student is writing a resume should they put all the high schools they’ve attended?

I’m writing a resume. And I’ve attended three high schools. I have a resume example thing my sister got from school, but I don’t know if it would be necessary to put all the high schools I’ve attended or just the one I’m currently attending? /= Please help. I’m new to all of this.

No, you just show the last high school you attended. When you write a resume it’s not suppose to be a history of your education. You just need to show the last school you attended or if you are attending school. It cannot be more than 1 page. The person who reads your resume will throw it out automatically without reading it if it’s more than one page long.

I’ve had some volunteer experience at bottle drives, dog kennels, school events, etc etc,

I need to write a resume example for work, but am having trouble thinking of someone "everyone" will know that I can use as an example. It is going out to high school students. If you can think of a character in Film or TV that would be a good example, feel free to post it. I would like to use the same person for a good resume by modifying the bad resume.

homer simpson? lol if you want a character which will appeal to high school students if your not really trying to be funny though like Martin Luther King or a president.

There is no need to include a long-term goal on a resume. If it is a question on a job application, then list something relevant to that company/position.

Besides setting all margins to 1", the most important criteria for setting up a professional resume besides relevant text, is "scanability." Here are some helpful tips:

1. Place just below your identification header [your hame, address, phone, email address] any Conditional Warning Statement such as "Confidential Resume,"Do Not Contact Current Employer," etc.
2. Always fill-in an Objectives category [just below the Conditional Warning Statement] and make sure that he Objective will contribute to the profitability of your future employer;
3. Select a mono-type font such as Helvetica, Arial, Courier or Times Roman; do not select any cursive handwriting styles which cannot scanned;
4. Keep font sizes within a range of 10 to 12 pts.;
5. Avoid styling text with a justified alignment, keep it flushed left;
6. Instead of using tabs to set up blocked text entries, generate a table and use the column and row settings accordingly;
7. Do not place an i.d. picture anywhere on the resume, this is a major taboo due to discrimination issues;
8. Do not place any graphic text [saved as .gifs] onto the resume since it may be overlooked during the scanning phase;
9. List at the very end of the resume your interests which should include travel experiences, language skills, social interactions such as golf, team sports, tennis, etc.

In conclusion, the above helpful hints were designed to allow ease of scanning of your resume into PDF which can then be text captured for seach purposes by your potential employer. If the original resume was created in Word, WordPerfect or Mac Appleworks, it can be Saved As a PDF file which then can be saved as an email attachment. Otherwise, you can simply use a scanner and scan a hard copy of the resume and then save as a PDF file.

Failure to conform the resume to appropriate fonts and styles as outlined above will result in rejection of the resume simply due to the inability of the scanning device to properly index relevant resume entries.
