how do you build up self esteem and confidence?

It’s a hard question but surely there are little changes that could make a difference

i find my low self esteem causes me a lot of problems and would appreciate anyways to try and boost it.

I’m going to the gym so far, what else can i do?

People grow in their self esteem and confidence by putting the boat out. Facing, overcoming their difficulties and failures. This develops their confidence and self esteem. Embrace you challenges, failures and difficulties, sort them out yourself and move on.

A ship is safe in the harbour but that’s not what ships were built for.

    improve self appearance
    - going to the gym is a great start
    - treat yourself, get new clothes splurge
    on shoes , cosmetics, and what ever you really like
    -fake it, faking your confidence makes other believe your confident with yourself, people are naturally attracted to that.

    I dont know what you eat, but changing you diet to a more healthier one helps too. Eating more fruits and veggies give you more energy and therefor you can do more. Staying active can also raise your self esteem. Going to the gym is a great start, each week you should stay a little longer, maybe 5-10 minutes longer until you spend at least 1 hour in the gym doing both cardio and weight lifting.
    Hanging around people that are interesting and like you would make you feel less self conscience and let you relax and be your self, and when you are yourself you become happy with your self, and your confidence and self esteem will be alot better. Dont worry what others are doing or saying. You live your life and they live theirs.

    for as long as I can remember I’ve had low-self esteem and was very self-coinceous.
    I had a tumour behind my eye which makes it look a bit differant. Also have other small tumours on my skin.
    But recently, I was able to accept it about myself. If someone doesnt like it or find it attractive then thats their problem. Theres nothing I can do about it, so I just had to learn to accept it.

    You can do everything physically that you need to do to try and be "perfect" but if you are still mentally putting yourself down and feeling bad about yourself,then you will never build up your confidence. Good luck!!
