How do you build self esteem in yourself after being depressed?
When I’m depressed I have trouble talking straight and trouble having a conversation with random people also my thoughts always change and I forget what I’m doing. This really is bothering me!
Mumbling and grammer errors during one on one communication happens a lot when I’m depressed.
Is it because when I’m depressed I lose confidence in myself?
Self esteem can hit rock bottom for a number of reasons and it can occur during any part of your life, young or old. Being abused, depressed, or simply misunderstanding oneself can ultimately lead to self destruction. There are ways that one can recover good self esteem and leave the bad behind.
1. If a person’s self esteem has been beaten into the ground, one of the first things that one wants to do is get a change of atmosphere. What a change of atmosphere will do is bring about new and hopefully engaging things that will cause laughter and bring out another side of oneself.
2. Secondly, surround yourself with positive people or either a very positive person who can truly make you realize your value without an actually counseling session. There are many talents stored up inside of each individual and it only takes a stranger or a new friend to remind you of it. One of those people that you want to be sure to hang around is God above!
3. Finally, begin to hang out with yourself and do things that you enjoy. Keep yourself company. What this will do is help you to respect your time and yourself enough to know that you are worth more than a bad self esteem! Respecting oneself is very important in this recovery of self esteem because if you wouldn’t disrespect anyone else, why do it to yourself? Instead, hanging out with yourself will teach you to not only respect yourself but love yourself again. Soon enough, there may be a special someone who will truly desire to hang out with you as your self esteem recovers!

You pretend like you’re a strong person and it wasn’t your fault. We know the truth.
